A two-week afternoon camp for middle schoolers built around conversations, friendship, and service — and the simple joy of spending summer afternoons doing something meaningful together.
The program runs for two weeks in July 2026, with each session meeting in the afternoons from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Week 1 runs July 13–17 and Week 2 runs July 20–24.
Throughout the camp, the youth take part in community service, meaningful discussions, arts and music, and sports and healthy recreation. The camp is open to all middle schoolers ages 10 to 14.
Each week runs Monday through Friday, with afternoons full of activities and conversations. Families can join for either week.
Each afternoon brings together four kinds of activity that work in concert to develop the intellectual and spiritual capacities of the participants.
Reading and discussing texts that strengthen powers of expression and the capacity to analyze the social forces shaping the world.
Service projects that contribute to the wellbeing of the neighborhood and cultivate a sense of responsibility for the progress of the community.
Music, visual arts, and drama drawn on as means of expressing spiritual qualities and giving form to the themes explored throughout the camp.
Games and outdoor activity that foster cooperation, friendship, and the bonds of unity within the group.
