A four-week internship in the Greater Boston Area for high school and college students who want to enhance their own intellectual and spiritual capacity while contributing to the progress of their community.
The Summer of Service Youth Internship invites high school and college students to build capacity as leaders, mentors, and organizers. The program runs from July 2–28, 2026 in the Greater Boston Area, and interns are expected to give full participation for the duration of the program.
Over four weeks, interns contribute to the educational life of their neighborhood while simultaneously receiving mentorship and training that supports their own growth — academically, spiritually, and professionally.
The internship weaves together three threads of service and learning — each reinforcing the others to shape a summer of meaningful contribution.
Work alongside junior youth ages 11–14 — accompanying them in conversations, activities, and acts of service that nurture their moral and intellectual capacities.
Provide academic tutoring to middle schoolers in English and math, helping them build confidence and skill in ways that support their ongoing education.
Take part in ongoing mentorship from the program in career, life skills, financial literacy, academics, and more — preparing for the next chapter of your own path.
Interns leave with tangible credentials for college and career — alongside the kind of skills that shape a lifetime of community engagement.
Service hours that count toward graduation requirements, scholarship applications, and honor-society standing — tracked and certified by the program.
